Complete House Design
Linda from StyledSpaces was fantastic in helping us put together our new home. We bought our house in the middle of lockdown. We were looking for a more clean and modern look and had no idea where to start. She kept us well within budget and made several visits to suppliers and to our home to make sure every piece of furniture, finish, curtain and light fitting arrived on time and was properly positioned. Room Redesign
I would highly recommend Linda and StyledSpaces. We moved in to our house on a small island outside Stockholm 5 years ago. We renovated and furnished all rooms but one. That room slowly got filled with odd bit of furniture that didn't fit anywhere else, but also my Grandmother's lovely old piano. It became the room we were embarrassed about. Linda helped us to see what we could do with the area and how to furnish it to fit with the rest of the house. A combination of keeping, upcycling old furniture as well as adding some new pieces, we now have a lovely Piano & music room / library. Even though we live in different countries and in the middle of a pandemic, we have had excellent contact and help via video meetings. The suggestions and design schemes from Linda combined with a detailed shopping list through her trade contacts in Sweden, has made it easy for us to furnish the room. Linda thought of everything from furniture and textiles to accessories. A print was even sent from the UK. She made us dare to be bold with the space and we now have a room we are really proud to show off. Thank you Linda.

Linda helped us with staging our property and getting it ready to go on the market. Despite being at the other end of the country (we're in Edinburgh!) the virtual staging help was invaluable. Linda helped us figure out how to make best use of our existing furniture etc and dealt with all the various purchases of items for staging. It made the process of getting our house ready much easier than it would have been, it looked fantastic for marketing photos, and sold within a week of going on the market, for more than we'd expected!

With a very short timeline we needed our flat in Brighton, that had been let for 15 years, refurbed and fitted with furniture as we were returning from overseas and needed to immediately go into quarantine in it. Complete Apartment Refurbishment
After living in my apartment for over twenty years, it was apparent that it needed substantial decluttering and refurbishment. The question then was whether to attempt the work myself or seek professional help. Having researched who was available in Dorset, I was fortunate to find Linda Doubleday of Styled Spaces who has transformed my living space into an area of which I am rightly proud. From the beginning when she first visited, she was friendly and outgoing, which coupled with her obvious flair and enthusiasm convinced me I could entrust her with the project. Having agreed a budget I gave her the go-ahead. She did not disappoint and having organised the disposal of my clunky furniture, she produced a plan which took advantage of the large light rooms and was beautifully colour coordinated. Not the least of her appeal is that she can call upon a team of skilled trades people who work quickly to a high standard, having to re-plaster all the ceilings, fit a new kitchen, repaint all the walls and woodwork and fit new carpets throughout. I should mention that when we decided on the replacement furniture and fabrics Linda was assiduous in seeking out the best prices available. She listens to the needs of her clients, is a great organiser and seems to have limitless patience. I recommend her unreservedly.

Linda Doubleday has been exemplary in guiding us in the staging of our home for sale. She advised on the staging of each room, sent images of product designs, bought and sent products for each room to enhance their appearance. Impressively tactful, I was gently guided into recognising that having furniture from three distinct centuries across the house didn't really help the coherence of the overall design! She researched an excellent photographer whose work was visibly more appealing than those of estate agents that I have used previously. She has unquestionably helped turn our pig's ear into a beautiful silk purse and I would urge anybody tempted to get advice on styling their house to draw on her expertise and advice.

Our new built cottage had been on the market for some time before we decided to stage it with Linda at StyledSpaces. There was immediately a dramatic increase in the number of house viewings and much more positive feedback from each viewing. My father in-law was moved to long term care, and the house was sitting empty. The photos online before Linda helped us were of empty rooms. We were trying to sell if from the USA, and there was little interests from viewers. I found Linda online, and I’m so thankful that I did. She listened to what we needed and really want out of her way to make sure everything went as it should. The staging was fantastic. She also noticed issues with the house that the estate agent and other family members had not noticed (damp in one ceiling due to clogged and over-flowing gutters). She helped us take other corrective actions on the house and was able to organize a spring clean and tidy up of the garden.
